| Evangel Children's Ministry Sunday Ministries Sunday School 9:45-10:45 AM Classes for children ages 2-5th grade includes fun, music and Bible instruction. A variety of subjects are taught throughout the year as we assist families in helping children have a personal growing relationship with God. Preschool Department Nursery (0-2 yrs.) Noah's Park (4-K) God's Little Army (2-3yrs.) *Each class in the preschool department meets at 9:45 & 11 a.m.Children attending both sessions remain in the classroom and are supervised during transition times. Nursery care is available during every church service of the week. Infants and toddlers will receive care in the nursery from loving nursery workers. God's Little Army features singing, coloring, Bible stories, and playing. The goal in this class is to use fun ways to play while learning about God. Noah's Park is offered to children ages 4-K. The children learn about God and Bible truths in a class that uses age appropriate learning experiences. Kingdom Quest Kingdom Quest is an alternative to the Sunday morning sermon for children in 1st through 4th grade. Children are dismissed from our main auditorium just before the pastor's sermon. Bible lessons aimed at their age level are taught, along with Bible memorization. Kingdom Quest meets every Sunday throughout the school year and culminates with an end of the year picnic at Boardman Park in June. Mid-Week Ministries TeamKid Kindergarten-5th Grade, Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 PM during the school year Games, music, crafts and Bible instuction are all part of this high energy program. Bible topics are covered such as a series based on the life and missionary journeys of Paul, called "Shipwrecked". TeamKid is an excellent opportunity for your children to bring friends to church.This program includes party nights as well as a variety of activities. Other Children's Ministries Kids Praise Kids Praise is our contemporary singing group for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The highlight of the year for Kids Praise is their annual Christmas musical in December. Kids Praise practices from September-December on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Summer Camp Camp Burton in Burton, Ohio, is a highlight of our year. Primary Camp for grades 1-2 is a four day experience in June. Grades 3-4 and grades 5-6 go for an entire week to have fun and learn about God in a unique outdoor setting. In addition to summer camp, Evangel participates in the annual, three day, Camp Burton Kids Retreat in the spring for grades 1-5. Adult sponsors accompany our kids on the retreat. Other churches attend and we average 150 kids. Vacation Bible School This is one of our biggest children’s events of the year. VBS takes place in July, from 6-8:30 PM. It is open to any child, age 4 - grade 5, and features a week long program combining drama, songs, games, crafts, classroom time, and of course, lots of fun!
